Hire me as a sketch portrait artist for your next event! I am available for community festivals, student events, birthday parties for all ages, reunions, etc...
My style of quick, black and white portrait is expressive and energetic, but still realistic. They are not caricatures. I use graphite, ink, and marker on heavy weight 8.5” x 11” paper, and each portrait takes approximately ten minutes.
For large events, like festivals, where visitors will be paying for their own portraits, the price per portrait is $10, and there will usually not be any additional fee for you unless a travel fee applies.
For events where you will not be asking guests to pay for their own portraits, I charge $50/hr, with a two hour/$100 minimum (plus travel fee, if applicable.) I can do five portraits per hour, so please keep this in mind when planning your event if you want each guest to be able to have a portrait done. At larger events this may not be possible.
I am based out of Parkville, Maryland (21234). Travel fees apply as follows:
0-20 miles: no fee
21-40 miles: $20
41-60 miles: $30
61-100 miles: $50
100+ miles: negotiable
I require a 50% down payment to book an event. The balance is due at the end of the event. I accept Paypal, personal check, or money order (or cash if you would like to deliveri t- please do not mail cash!) for down payments, and personal check, money order, or cash for balances. You may, of course, also opt to pre-pay for the event in full.
Please note that I may not be available to attend all events.
I will arrive at your event with a sample display and all paper and drawing materials that I will need, at minimum. I can also bring my own chairs, table, and shade unless you prefer to provide them. I will dress appropriately for the formality of your event.
